Josh Van Nes Joins Clout Chasers as Director for Panchariya Brothers Productions
LONDON, October 30, 2025 — Panchariya Brothers Productions is proud to announce that filmmaker Josh Van Nes has joined as director for their upcoming short film, Clout Chasers. The thought-provoking project explores the modern obsession with online fame and the dark lengths people will go to for social media validation.
Loosely inspired by the Sycamore Gap tree cutting that captivated and shocked the UK, Clout Chasers reimagines the incident through a satirical yet emotionally charged lens — a story about viral ambition, fleeting relevance, and the price of digital notoriety.
The film stars Angus Faulkes and Harry Walters, both of whom bring raw energy and emotional depth to this commentary on contemporary culture. Under Van Nes’ direction, the short promises a gripping blend of realism and dark humour, set against the backdrop of Britain’s evolving relationship with social media.
“Josh brings an incredible visual sensitivity and narrative insight to this project,” said a Matthew Rowney, Head of Production, for Panchariya Brothers Productions. “He understands how to tell a story that is both timely and timeless — one that challenges audiences to question what we sacrifice for attention.”
With production already underway, Clout Chasers aims to premiere on the international festival circuit in 2026, sparking conversation about the moral consequences of chasing digital clout in the age of constant exposure.
