Craig Berry Wraps Filming on Suspense Thriller Intrusion
Craig Berry, the celebrated stage actor known for his charismatic portrayal of Del Boy in the Only Fools and Horses UK tour and as the West End's sole Superman in It’s a Bird… It’s a Plane… It’s Superman, has just wrapped filming on his latest screen venture—Intrusion, a taut micro-thriller delving into the unnerving depths of personal boundaries and hidden truths.
Directed by rising filmmaker Matthew Rowney and captured with stunning intimacy by Director of Photography Joel Tucker on the cutting-edge Blackmagic Pyxis, Intrusion is a psychological suspense film that asks a simple but terrifying question: what happens when the intruder in your life isn't who—or what—you think they are?
Though details of the plot remain tightly under wraps, Intrusion promises to turn the home invasion genre on its head, blending atmospheric tension with a subversive narrative twist. The film is being billed as a "micro short," engineered for maximum impact in a minimal runtime—perfectly suited for the festival circuit it will enter later this summer.
Berry’s transition from stage to screen has been a steadily unfolding success. While his live performances have earned him devoted fans and critical acclaim, Intrusion sees the actor embrace a darker, more psychologically layered role. According to sources close to the production, Berry brings “a magnetic presence and emotional nuance that drives the entire narrative forward.”
Shot in one day, the production leveraged the Pyxis’s cinematic low-light performance and raw image fidelity to create a visual palette both intimate and unsettling—ideal for a story rooted in paranoia, perception, and personal space.
With Intrusion, Rowney, Tucker, and Berry collectively aim to challenge audiences’ assumptions and redefine what suspense can look like in short-form storytelling. As anticipation builds ahead of its festival debut, one thing is certain: Intrusion marks an exciting chapter for Craig Berry, and a project that promises to linger long after the final frame.
